New Job

There comes a time in our life when we feel the need for a change. The time had come and I felt it was time to get a new job. A new beginning, new people, new food.

Well, it didn't quite turn out that way. My paranoid, asshole for a boss at the Italian restaurant got the crazy notion that I was trying to steal his girlfriend from him. Although I was the one who introduced them to each other, he felt that my showing a normal friendship behavior to his girlfriend was crossing the line! (In this case, going to their apartment while he was work to deliver her mail that had arrived at my place, have a cigarette and chat!) So he started creating problems with me at work and making my life a living hell. Finally in January, I had a enough. So I went to the owner and told him I quit and was not required to give a month's notice.

Next up, I pull a string and get a job at another Italian restaurant. But this is not necessarily new people. One of the chef's (The Angry German) is a good friend of mine. The other chef (The Crazy Finn) I had met before as well. But things are good at this restaurant as it is much more laid back, the pay is good, hours nice, and I'm working in not only the Cold Kitchen, but also the Pizzeria and Hot Section. Yes, I actually get to cook again!
Now I've been asking myself why I didn't take the Angry German's job offer six months earlier? Until then. . .
